We had a beautiful wedding on November 28, 2015 at Brasada Ranch Resort in Powell Butte, OR. Close family members and friends arrived prior on Wednesday to enjoy the resort and were greeted by a snowstorm that left a blanket of white all around.
We were going to have a white wedding!
The schedule was full of fun... and a little ambitious. Thanksgiving dinner was arranged at a nearby grange with buffet food options for family and close friends. On Friday, we had our welcome reception for wedding guests during the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers Civil War game. (Which the Ducks won! Go Ducks!) And then the wedding on Saturday.

Saturday came with more snow and an early morning start to a somewhat stressful, but beautiful day. Hair and make up appointments were messed up, Tuxedos didn't fit right, and Gizmo, the bossy Aussie, kept managing to break out of the cabin and come looking for his "herd".
Despite it all, as we look back, we truly had an amazing and beautiful ceremony thanks to all the help of family and friends. We will never forget looking out during the candle lighting ceremony and that moment taking our breath away. There are no words to describe the beauty and love you can feel with a room full of people lighting a candle in hope, love and support of the journey you are about to begin. And that was that - we were hitched and we were a family. We walked down the aisle as husband and wife, and first thing greeting us was Gizmo and the Brasada wedding coordinator. (He had busted out again, of course.) Apparently, he didn't want to miss us signing the wedding certificate.
